This happens fairly quickly, allowing Lin to dive into first of many action set pieces, many of which are almost too unbelievable. From there, the Fast Five team - including characters played by Ludacris, Tyrese, Sung Kang and Gal Gadot - is reassembled. Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and their crew are drawn out of hiding when the man who tried to hunt them down,

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Movie Free Online Special Agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), comes to them for help. He needs them to track down Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), a British criminal planning to steal a weapons navigation system that could mean millions of deaths. At first refusing, Dom is lured into the globe-trotting mission for reason- his former girlfriend Lettie (Michelle Rodriguez), who he thought dead, is part of Shaw's gang. So, the franchise about car racing has morphed into a heist franchise with a car racing subplot. Certainly, the big machines are there, but with the exception of one rip-roaring chase through London, the street racing has been largely shelved. This is not such a bad thing, as it happens, because ‘Fast & Furious 6' is in every sense a crowd pleaser. Does the plot make sense? Barely; is the script terrible? Yes (one Johnson classic is ‘the last thing I want is to be on your doorstep selling Girl Scout cookies'); but there's high octane action, explosions, babes, car chases, muscle-bound stars and exotic locales. It's not very clever, but it is very big. Fun, too.

It's hard to tell if Diesel enjoys his status as star of the franchise, as mostly he glares and slurs. It works though, because it's his ‘too cool to care' approach makes him seem very, well, cool on screen. Walker is probably just happy to be working, the once-promising lead of the first two films now relegated to a largely supporting slot to the main attractions of Diesel and Johnson. Speaking of Dwayne, he clearly is a man enjoying his work- a torrent of machismo and assertiveness, him and Diesel make an entertaining pair. Rodriguez is back in the fold and kicking ass, including an excellent fight scene with former MMA star Gina Carano (stiffly portraying Hobbs' new partner). Kudos also to Luke Evans, becoming the first memorable baddie in all six movies, having an air of charisma that doesn't rely of abandoning subtlety.

More of the same in some respects, but with a little customisation ‘Fast and Furious 6' makes you overlook the more ludicrous parts of its nature and just enjoy the ride. As for the future of the franchise mid-credits sequence suggest that Dom, Hobbs and the rest aren't going anywhere, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.A Manila premiere that brought Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano, and Luke Evans (as well as select foreign press) here had everyone hyped-and much deservedly so. This was Manila's first big Hollywood franchise that cared enough to bring in four of its film's stars.

Even Diesel, who was clearly emotional about the whole thing, would not stop saying that this has been the best premiere he's been to and that as soon as he returns to the studio, he'll tell executives that they should certainly consider shooting scenes for future FF films in Manila.

So before I drift away from the review, is the sixth installment really the best they've done so far?

Granted, the film is not designed for any acting awards, it does however deliver some over the top stunts that director Justin Lin was able to pull off with style. There will be a tank, an aircraft carrier, and even some wrestling action and lingo as well as MMA fighting care of Carano as Riley, a member of Hobbs' team.

Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) recruits Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his team-a family as he calls it-to retrieve a device from ex-SAS officer Owen Shaw (Evans). While Toretto would rather spend his time with Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky), Hobbs shows him a picture of Letty Ortiz (Rodriguez) as one of Shaw's accomplices.

In exchange for their service, Toretto wants immunity and full pardon when they return to the US. The chase takes them to London and Spain and much of the entertainment really comes from the action sequences. Unexpected comedy from the bumbling duo Han (Sung Kang) and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) was also quite refreshing.

Evans character could have been made more menacing while Carano would have been a nice permanent addition to Download Fast and Furious 6 Movie Toretto's squad. While there's a tender scene between Ortiz and Toretto, it was a minor speed bump in what is otherwise a frenetic movie.

"Fast & Furious 6" is satisfying in that it also closes the loop from "Tokyo Drift" just before the end credits rolled, revealing at the same time what the next installment holds, causing the audience to clap and gasp once more.

(Special thanks goes out to GBX Philippines for inviting me to the premiere. "Fast and Furious 6" is released and distributed by United International Pictures. It will open across Philippine theatres on May 24.)

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of all-stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed races to its next continent in "Fast & Furious 6." Reuniting for their most high-stakes adventure yet, fan favorites Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and Elsa Pataky are joined by badass series newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano.

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Building on the worldwide blockbuster success of Fast Five and taking the action, stunts and narrative to even greater heights, "Fast & Furious 6" sees director Justin Lin back behind the camera for the fourth time. He is supported by longtime producers Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel, who welcome producer Clayton Townsend back to the series. Dominic Toretto's past catches up with him in unexpected ways in Fast & Furious 6, the penultimate installment in the urban street racing-turned heist franchise. An offer from federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) gives Dom the chance to reunite his scattered family after years of running from the law. However, this comes at a price: the criminal faction he must take down includes his old flame Letty (Michele Rodriguez), who has mysteriously reappeared after she was thought dead in Fast & Furious.

A rumor about the post-credits scene setting up Fast & Furious 7 better explains how the Lin and Morgan are both wrapping up the Dom/Letty subplot AND tying off the threads left dangling since Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It also goes back to Diesel's comments before the sixth movie began production, about there being too many plot elements to payoff in just two hours.

Fast & Furious 6 looks good for reasons that go beyond racing sequences involving tanks or set pieces in the shape of plummeting aircraft (though, those don't hurt, of course), as Diesel and Rodriguez discuss Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Megavideo in the new featurette. The series themes of brotherhood, forming across the divides of ethnicity and class, appear to continue developing in satisfying ways. Besides, any film that gives metaphorical significance to fisticuffs between Carano and Rodriguez (representing Dom's future and past, respectively), is pretty awesome in my book.

"All roads lead to this." That's the tagline for Fast and Furious 6 and it's appropriate on several different levels. The film is the final series entry from director Justin Lin, who picked up a fledgling franchise and carried it into the blockbuster realm. It also marks the culmination of a story that began at the end of Tokyo Drift, when a cameo from Vin Diesel signaled the shift from a set of loosely connected films to a tightly intertwined set of stories and characters.

Finally, Fast and Furious 6 marks the total obliteration of any semblance of reality or logic in the franchise.

Speeding through a city with a huge safe in tow seemed crazy in Fast Five. In Fast and Furious 6 Lin expands the action to absurd proportions, creating set pieces and action beats that defy physics and coherence. Yet it all works to purring perfection. After five movies, all roads indeed lead to this madness.

Picking up almost immediately where Fast Five left off, we're once again with Brian (Paul Walker) and Dom (Vin Diesel), who are enjoying living life as retired multi-millionaires. Government agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) comes knocking in search of their unique skill set for high-stakes crime, as he needs help with the apprehension of international criminal Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).

You might think that the Fast & Furious series is just a brainless action fest, and for the most part you'd be entirely correct. However there are quite a few events and characters from Fast & Furious (the fourth film) and Fast Five that feed into what happens in Fast & Furious 6, and all three of these movies actually take place before Tokyo Drift (the third film). While it's not quite like trying to catch up with Lost mid-season, it does help to come prepared.

The whole gang are rich and relaxed after the events in Rio, but previous antagonist Special Agent Hobbs (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) shows up on their front door looking for help. New bad guy on the block Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) is collecting bits of a super-weapon from all over the world, with the final part to be found in London. As an added incentive to help, Hobbs reveals that Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) supposedly dead ex-girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is actually alive and well and working with the villains. Cue a globe-trotting adventure from England to Spain to Russia to Los Angeles as the gang attempt to bring down Shaw's crew who are just as vehicularly talented as Toretto's. With new bad guys, new good guys (Gina Carano shows up as Hobbs' second in command) and the return of Rodriguez, some of the series regulars get unfairly side-lined or just chopped out entirely. The rest don't have anything new to do; Paul Walker is still very much the sub to Vin Diesel's Dom, The Rock is a walking steroid constantly spouting confusing similes, and everyone else is either comic relief or eye candy.

After Fast Five came out of nowhere to blow us all away, expectations were high for this entry, and unfortunately it doesn't quite reach them. Despite the more convoluted plot, this movie's IQ is even lower than previous entries, with things like logic and realistic character development left on the side of the road to hitch-hike their own way to the finish line. Also, Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Full Movie while the action sequences are bigger - the tanks, the planes, oh my! - this time round there seems to be less of them, with the movie taking way too long to properly rev up its engines for the extended, hugely explosive finale.

As far as Fast & Furious films go, Six is the second best of the bunch, never quite reaching the giddy highs of Five. However, we are treated to a post-credits teaser for Seven which should have fans drooling for next summer's entry; no doubt our expectations will go up even higher. Here's hoping next time they're met.

Parents need to know that Fast & Furious 6 is a continuation of the long-running car chase franchise starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel, and Paul Walker. Johnson returns as Special Agent Luke Hobbs, who enlists the help of outlaw criminal Dom Toretto (Diesel) to bring down a rival gang, led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). When Hobbs offers Dom and his crew full pardons for their previous crimes, they join forces against Shaw's gang -- which includes Dom's presumed-dead ex-lover, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) -- in a showdown of violent explosions, vehicular combat, and fast cars. Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Free Putlocker This action-packed sequel will likely contain strong language and violence best suited for older teens.

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Where else in cinema have the races come together with such unqualified success? Normally the results fall somewhere on a sliding scale of antagonism, from the master-servant dualities of Lawrence of Arabia, to the mutual resentment of Crash, to the thorny one-upmanship of Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song and the blaxploitation boom that followed. The big news is that Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) - she's our fave Fast and Furious! - is, for reasons far too nonsensical to explain, back from the dead. Unhappily, she's now in the employ of Luke Evans's megalomaniac who may or may not be attempting to bring down a city.

Download Fast and Furious 6 Movie Possibly London. Most of the movie, with a nod to Rest of World takings, is set there. The number 6 is not a reassuring sight, whether it's Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, three 6s on the infant Damien's scalp, or the 1990s New Labour adviser Perri 6. But despite being the sixth movie in the petrol-head franchise starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, this film's got a fair bit in the tank; it's silly but enjoyable. Brian O'Conner (Walker) has become a dad, and his buddy Dominic Toretto (Diesel) solemnly tells him his life will change. Absolute nonsense of course. Soon he's revving and racing and fighting just as in his bachelor days, with his wife's dewy-eyed blessing. Toretto's crew has been recruited by special agent Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson, the veins on whose massive biceps are as thick as tree branches. Much of the film is set in London (some Skyfall legacy?) and Hobbs wants them to take down a sinister gang led by ex-SAS officer Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), who appears to have recruited or brainwashed Toretto's ex-paramour Letty, played by Michelle Rodriguez. Rodriguez gets some one-on-one fight scenes with Hobbs's assistant Riley, played by Gina Carano. Rodriguez has some outrageous badass dialogue. To a smart-mouthed tough guy, she snarls: "You're supposed to be Team Muscle. Don't make me come over there and make you Team Pussy." It's reminiscent of the moment Whistler remarked to Oscar Wilde, when Wilde pinched one of his bon mots: "You're supposed to be Team Original Drollery. Don't make me come over there and make you Team Chastened."

The franchise that's so fast it's shed its definite articles zooms back over the horizon. Can director Justin Lin's previous installment - the none more fast, none more furious F&F5 be further modified for fastness and furiousness? Apparently so: F&F6 now features harder-bottomed girls and even larger man-mountains.

Forget cars. These days Vin Diesel's crew are going to war against supertanks and military air carriers and something that looks like the Batmobile. Forget polite introductions: recurring characters arrive with handy cut-out-and-keep guides: Tyrese Gibson shows up in a private plane bearing the legend "It's Roman, bitches"; The Rock, an ill-defined law enforcer who spent the last movie hunting the crew, is now a close enough confidant and unofficial team player to have earned the nickname Samoan Thor.

As with the Lethal Weapon series, there's a whole lot of positively SPUC-friendly chatter about family values. The final scene ends with - we kid you not - a prayer. It hardly matters that Gina Carano sounds like she's reading from a chart at the opticians. It hardly matters that the dialogue is composed exclusively in meme slogans ("This is all on me", "I'm going to make this right").

Pleasures don't come any simpler or more homoerotic than the F&F movies. Unlike, say, Olympus Has Fallen, Fast and Furious 6 embraces its craziness and implausibilities with no little aplomb and with minimal crummy CGI. It's not logical. All it wants is for you to shout out "freakin' sweet!". It's not clever. But it is big.

Stay tuned for the credits: a starry cameo promises even bigger things for F&F7 . It's a date, dog.

"Fast & Furious 6" raced out of the gate as the No. 1 film in the U.K. and Ireland on Friday, posting Universal's biggest opening day ever in that market with $4.6 million.

That figure beats the $3.6 million that the fourth film in the franchise, "Fast & Furious," opened with in 2009 and is the year's second-best opening day in the U.K., just behind the $4.7 million of "Iron Man 3."

Warner Bros. rolled out "The Great Gatsby" on Thursday in the U.K., and that film has taken in $2.5 million. "Fast & Furious 6" is set in London and had its global premiere there so an initial opening in the U.K. made sense for Universal. The U.K. was also the most lucrative foreign market for "Fast Five," which brought in more than $30 million in 2011.The film opens on Friday in North America and in 59 international territories.

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Full Movie Universal has high hopes for "Fast & Furious 6." Its predecessor "Fast Five," was the franchise's highest-grossing entry. It brought in more than $625 million worldwide, with $416 million of that from international. Domestically, it opened to $86 million and went on to make $207 million.

Director Justin Lin and screenwriter Chris Morgan are back for their fourth go-round, along with a cast that includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jason Statham, Luke Evans, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.

In this installment, agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) enlists Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his team to bring down former Special Ops soldier Owen Shaw (Evans), leader of a unit specializing in vehicular warfare.

If blockbusters began in 1915 with The Birth of a Nation, then we are fast approaching the genre's centenary. The intervening 100 years have brought so many innovations - sound, colour, digital, 3D - that it's worth taking a moment to marvel at the three things that have remained almost entirely unchanged since DW Griffiths' Ku Klux Klan-glorifying epic was released. Blockbuster cinema is, and always has been, overwhelmingly male, straight and white.

Take, for example, Star Wars: the noble, aryan, farm-reared Luke Skywalker wouldn't look particularly out of place on a poster in 1930s Germany. Then there's Indiana Jones: an Ivy League academic who swans off to the third world, relieves the locals of their artefacts, and packs them away in a museum. Batman is a scion of the plutocracy; Iron Man is a capitalist warmonger. Harry Potter? Private-schooled, old money, born into the "right" sort of family. James Bond? Imperialist sex pest. Avatar? Bow down to your white messiah, blueskins! And so on.

Of course I am being a touch facetious, but the overarching pattern can hardly be denied. Besides, on the rare occasions blockbuster heroes are not white, they tend to be playing for the Caucasian team anyway. Think of Eddie Murphy in the Beverly Hills Cop films: a rough-diamond Detroit native, but when does he become interesting? When he's summoned to the manicured boulevards of Los Angeles, California: a black man invited to sup with the white elite.

Which brings us rather neatly to the Fast & Furious franchise, which has made $1.6 billion worldwide to date by being emphatically neither elite nor white. These films are about hijacks and lowlifes: daring heists pulled off by loveable crooks with a penchant for customised sports cars and the kind of muscle beach physiques you thought went out in the early 1990s, along with Troll dolls and Communism. Its cast hail from every race under the sun, and are utterly at peace with the series's roaringly unsubtle bisexual subtext. The films occupy a unique and fascinating position on the contemporary movie landscape: they are at once incredibly important and not all that good.

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Free Streaming Watch a Fast & Furious film and you'll recognise the aesthetic straight away: not from Hollywood, but the American music industry, where sounds and images from all manner of cultures are smudged together in a spirit of experimentalism that brings to mind a finger-painting toddler. Nicki Minaj, the Trinidadian rapper, marries brawny East Coast hip-hop to sugary Japanese pop music and much more besides, and she has sold five million albums to date. This, too, is the Fast & Furious method.

It is, however, worth noting that it took four instalments for Universal to finesse the formula. In the first film, The Fast and the Furious, the central character is Brian O'Conner, a blond-haired, blue-eyed LA cop played by Paul Walker, who infiltrates the city's street-racing scene, and wins the trust of serial hijacker Dominic Toretto, played by the mixed-race actor Vin Diesel. Studios love characters like O'Conner: they are safe, white faces who can lead suburban teens into the exotic world of the film.

The second instalment, 2 Fast, 2 Furious, stuck with this template: it kept O'Conner, dropped Toretto and relocated to Miami. The third film, subtitled Tokyo Drift, dropped O'Conner as well, but the formula stayed the same: white interloper meets vibrant ethnic subculture, and the Caucasian comes out on top.

During the making of Tokyo Drift, Universal executives discussed making significant changes to the franchise with Justin Lin, that film's Taiwanese-born American director. Future instalments, they decided, would foreground crime, scale back car talk, and favour practical effects over computer graphics. Those same executives will also have noticed the unusual weighting of Tokyo Drift's box office returns: a disappointing $62 million in the US, but $109 million overseas, $8.3 million of which came from Japan, where the film was largely set.

Accordingly, Fast & Furious, the fourth film in the series and the second to be directed by Lin, was treated as a fresh start. It reunited Diesel and Walker and moved the story back to California, also dipping over the border into Mexico. The film made $155 million in the States and $208 million overseas, $33 million of which came from Mexico, Central and South America.

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist shifted focus to Brazil; it also added the former wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock' Johnson to the series' ever-expanding cast. Fast Five made close to $70 million in those same territories, and $20 million in Brazil alone.

The latest episode, which was released in British cinemas this week, takes place mostly in London. The cast as it stands is made up of actors from the following racial backgrounds: Black Nova Scotian/Samoan, Irish-American, Dominican/Puerto Rican, Spanish, Brazilian-American, Korean, Israeli, Indonesian and Welsh. (Luke Evans, who plays the villain, is from Aberbargoed in Monmouthshire.) Interracial angst is nowhere to be seen: apart from the Welshman, everyone gets along famously.

"It's the United Colours of Benetton movie," laughed the actor Don Cheadle, when I interviewed him about his role in Iron Man 3 and the subject of the Fast & Furious films came up. "This is how Hollywood can hit everybody. ‘We want your biggest star, we want your biggest star - throw them all in there.'"

Racing matters; race is irrelevant. Where, then, does that leave the sex? In an unscientific social media poll last week, I asked Telegraph readers what they enjoyed most about the series; one of the most popular answers was its playful homoeroticism. ("The Rock and Vin Diesel, and the chance they might start rolling around in engine oil and kissing" was one of the more vividly imagined responses, submitted by a young lady from Cheltenham.)

There is, of course, nothing in the Fast & Furious films to give Brokeback Mountain a run for its money - but it's rare for a mainstream studio picture to openly entertain the possibility that its heroes could be bisexual. At one point in the fourth, a typically pneumatic female asks Toretto if he prefers women or cars: "I appreciate a fine body regardless of the make," he shoots back.

In the fifth film Diesel and Johnson mount one another like bison in heat in a ludicrous tussle in a shed; in the sixth, Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano, the strapping female mixed martial artist, clash on the London Underground in a brawl that, to these eyes, was basically frottage.

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Movie Online By reflecting cultures that tend not to be represented in day-to-day Hollywood business, the series has become both slyly subversive and enormously popular; but this is not some kind of slippery social engineering project by Universal. (If it were, you can bet the franchise's target market would reject it.) The dumb beauty of the Fast & Furious films is that they are radical entirely by accident. They don't lead their young audience but follow them, engines roaring, while the sun glints genially in the wide blue sky.

Needless to say, the story for part 6 has got to work in a lot of ways, but given that screenwriter Chris Morgan has handled chapters 3 - 5 (alongside Lin), we're betting he'll deliver the goods for part 6 as well.

Fast and Furious 6 Movie Download Proving that Hollywood is more interested in profit than thought-provoking cinema, the Fast And The Furious franchise will unleash movie number six in the series on the world in May 2013. May 24, 2013, to be exact. America has apparently not had enough of exploding pistons, wooden dialogue, and safes being dragged through city streets at high speeds. Nor has it had enough of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Fast cars, good-looking people, and hackneyed lines apparently make for a profitable formula, and NBC Universal isn't willing to kill the golden goose just yet.

While gearheads may groan at technical inaccuracies, and cinema lovers may snicker at poor acting and writing, plenty of movie-goers have enjoyed the relatively mindless action of the first five movies. Which is enough to justify a sixth to the studio.

Despite its relatively low-brow plot and concept, the fifth movie was widely perceived as a solid action movie that helped revitalize the franchise. Diesel, who broke the news of a release date on his Facebook page, says he's excited that the film will have more pre-production time.
Perhaps that means the sixth installment will be better than the fifth. Just don't count on it bringing home any Academy Award hardware.

The franchise that's so fast it's shed its definite articles zooms back over the horizon. This latest chapter will attempt to both continue the larger heist-thriller/action movie format that director Justin Lin established for box-office-topping Fast Five, while also getting back to the street racing roots that began the franchise.

This time around, Dom Teretto (Vin Diesel), FBI agent-turned-fugitive Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and their band of merry thieves (including Tyrese, Ludacris and Sung Kang) are approached by lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) to help bring down a European crew of vehicular crooks, working under one Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) - a crew whose ranks include the presumed-dead Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez).

Clearly the stage is being set to bring things full-circle from the events of Fast & Furious and Fast Five - and, judging from some juicy rumors we recently heard, this latest installment could also be tying things together with not only Fast & Furious 7 (which is now being directed by James Wan), but also Lin's fish-out-water third installment, Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Needless to say, the story for part 6 has got to work in a lot of ways, but given that screenwriter Chris Morgan has handled chapters 3 - 5 (alongside Lin), we're betting he'll deliver the goods for part 6 as well.On the side of action spectacle: this final trailer reveals even more of what Fast & Furious 6 is bringing to the table - which is basically the action movie elements (hand-to-hand fights, shootouts, etc) that distinguished Fast Five in particular - but also a new level of vehicular action, what with sequences like a team of cars pulling down a cargo plane (totally possible), or a highway chase scene featuring cars vs. a tank.

That's all to say: no matter which chapter of the franchise is your favorite (the pre or post-Lin segments), part 6 looks as though it has what you want, plus some.

Once it had been confirmed that Fast & Furious 6 wouldn't shoot back-to-back with the seventh installment, the natural assumption was that Fast & Furious 7 wouldn't release in theaters until 2015 (at the earliest). That changed this month, after Vin Diesel dropped the news that filming on the seventh movie begins this summer, followed two weeks later by Universal's formal announcement of a July 2014 release date target.

Fast and the Furious producer Neal H. Moritz is out and about promoting the sixth installment right now, which has provided him the chance to clear up a few things about the seventh movie; that includes who is directing - now that Justin Lin (Fast and the Furious 3-6) has stepped aside - and whether or not Dwayne Johnson will make an appearance as Agent Luke Hobbs.

Development on Fast & Furious 7 began well before Fast & Furious 6 entered production, because (according to Diesel) the amount of story and character relationship payoffs set in motion during Fast Five became too much to handle for a single movie. Moritz re-affirmed the start date for the seventh installment, during a recent interview with Collider.By extension, it sounds as though Universal always intended to get Fast & Furious 7 into theaters as quickly as possible, but without resorting to the problematic back-to-back production scheduling (for more on that, listen to the Screen Rant Underground Podcast crew's discussion). Hence, while Lin's departure came as a surprise to the rest of us, it might have been something the studio anticipated well in advance.Speaking of surprises: the decision to approach director James Wan to replace Lin on Fast & Furious 7 was not at all the obvious choice, given that Wan is known for making horror fare (Insidious, The Conjuring) and extremely gruesome material (Saw, Death Sentence). That's not exactly the sort of resume that makes a filmmaker seem like a good match for a consumer-friendly series that's big on action set pieces and eye candy.    "He's a terrific, terrific director at the top, top of his genre.  He's done everything you could do in the genre he's been working in, and as he said to me the other day,

Watch Fast and Furious 6 Online Wan, as I've mentioned in previous articles, has earned a reputation for being a hard-working and efficient director; case in point, he will release The Conjuring this summer, followed by Insidious Chapter 2 just a couple months later. Moreover, he's skilled in the area of using practical tools and in-camera techniques, which is in keeping with Lin's philosophy that "CGI never replaces the real thing" when it comes to stunt-work and spectacle.

As for his lack of big-budget filmmaking experience: similar to how Joss Whedon had plenty of assistance tackling The Avengers - and Colin Trevorrow will collaborate with seasoned blockbuster producers while he directs Jurassic Park 4 this year - Wan will have the support of people who have been making these Fast and the Furious movies for over a decade now. Lastly, despite rumors that Agent Hobbs could get his own standalone movie at some point, there's reason to wonder if Johnson will have to pass on Fast & Furious 7 due to him headlining director Brett Ratner's Hercules comic book adaptation (which also begins production this summer); at the least, it's unlikely the actor will play as central a role as he does in Fast & Furious 6. Fast & Furious 6 stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Gina Carano, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim and Clara Paget.

"Fast & Furious 6," the latest installment in the wildly popular "The Fast and the Furious" action film series, is scheduled to hit theaters a week from now. But ahead of the movie's release, its official iOS game has already been unleashed in the App Store.

The game is called, rather imaginatively, Fast & Furious 6: The Game. And it dares you to Download Fast and Furious 6 Movie ...

Step into the world of Fast & Furious 6. Earn cash and the respect of the "Fastest" drivers as you drift and drag through the London street scene. Join the Fast & Furious crew as they prepare to take on a series of jobs in an all new heist mode. Fast & Furious 6: The Game takes the mobile racing genre to greater heights with stunning graphics, new game modes, addictive challenges and intense full-throttle missions that dare you to exceed all limits. As part of the fast and furious crew headed by Vin Diesel, you must race for supremacy by collecting, customizing, and upgrading a variety of vehicles.

Mind you, these vehicles are of the high-end sorts licensed by the game's developer, Kabam, which also developed The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle Earth for iOS. (The official iOS game of the previous movie, Fast Five The Movie: The Official Game, was published by Gameloft.)

Fast & Furious 6: The Game is available now in the App Store, and is currently featured as an Editors' Choice at that. Like Kabam's other games for iOS, including Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North and Arcane Empires, Fast & Furious: The Game is a freemium title.

There's an amusing disclaimer in the credits for Fast & Furious 6, along the lines that the stunts in the film are dangerous and shouldn't be tried at home. Even the most fanatical petrol-head might struggle to recreate the bit where Vin Diesel shoots out through the nose-cone of a burning cargo plane, so the advice can only prompt guffaws.

In its way, though, this absurdity demonstrates just how far the series has come - from The Fast and The Furious, a $38m-budgeted, definite-article-encumbered 2001 B movie about devil-may-care street racers, to a bulky, galumphing, preposterously outsized all-action franchise with the steroid quotient of the average wrestling convention.

There's an impressive commitment to male-pattern baldness among the key cast - not only do Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson square off again like sizzling 6ft bratwursts, but an end-credits kicker reveals yet another follically-untroubled action star is to be added to the mix next time. Hair is for girls. Well, girls and Paul Walker.

Justin Lin has now directed four of these, and has a flair for digital showmanship which comes alive twice in lavish set-pieces - first on a suspended stretch of highway in the Canary Islands, then on that plane, which gathers speed for 15 minutes, on what has to be the world's longest runway, while about a dozen good guys try to stop it in their hot-rods.
